SBFFA is proud to present RIPTIDE, our elite competitive club team.

RIPTIDE will compete against top teams across California at sanctioned tournaments and showcases.

RIPTIDE is designed for athletes who want to experience higher competition. Our program focuses on advanced technique, tactical awareness, and high-intensity competition. We provide a platform for dedicated players to showcase their talent on a regional and national stage.

Age Groups: Girls ONLY divisions from Junior High through High School.
Tryouts: Annual evaluations held in the Winter
Season Dates: Regular season runs from January to June
Practices: Minimum twice-weekly intensive training sessions.
Travel: Participation in 4-6 regional tournaments per season.
Club Fee: $850 - Competitive seasonal tuition covers tournament costs, Elite Athlete Pack, and more
Elite Athlete Pack: Includes home/away uniforms, custom headband, team backpack, flags, EdgeSports wristband, and custom backpack tag with name and jersey number.

What is the commitment for the athletes in RIPTIDE?

RIPTIDE is a high-commitment program. Players are expected to attend all practices and tournaments. It is intended for athletes who prioritize flag football as their primary competitive sport during the season. However, we do understand that athletes may occasionally miss events due to illness, family travel, or injury.

Yes, tryouts are mandatory every year for all athletes to ensure fair evaluation and placement within the most appropriate age and skill divisions.

Tournaments primarily take place across Southern and Central California, and possibly Northern California. Occasional travel for national showcases may be required.
