Come out and support local and visiting athletes at the Central Coast Classic! You don't need to have a player in the tournament to attend—everyone in the community is invited to join us, enjoy high-energy flag football, support young athletes from across the region, and see what the Santa Barbara Flag Football Academy is all about.
Fair Play & Safety
Safety First: Mouthguards are mandatory for all players. No metal cleats allowed on the fields.
Standard Equipment: Each team must bring their own flags (mus tbe popoffs). If you do not have any, we will be selling USA Football flags for $5 each. Flags must be worn at all times. Pockets on shorts are prohibited for safety.
Code of Conduct: Respect for referees, coaches, and opposing players is non-negotiable. Zero tolerance for unsportsmanlike behavior.
Game Format: Tournament games consist of two 20-minute halves with a 5-minute halftime break.
Common Questions
What is the tournament format?
Our tournaments typically follow a pool-play structure followed by a single-elimination bracket. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three games: 2 seeding and 1 playoff.
What equipment is required?
Players must wear team uniforms, pocketless shorts, cleats, popoff flags, and mouthguards.
Are there age divisions?
Yes, we host divisions from 12U and High School. Divisions are based on the player's age as of the start of the current season. If you field a player who is older than their division, the team will be disqualified with no refund.
What happens in case of bad weather?
Tournaments are rain or shine unless conditions are deemed unsafe. Any schedule changes will be communicated via email and our social media channels.
Can I register as an individual?
No. Tournament registration is primarily for full teams. Please register once you have a full team (7-12 players).
